Music at Covenant
Want to sing Saint-Saens for Christmas?
For the next two months, join choir rehearsals from 8-8:30 pm every Thursday (in the choir loft) to prepare Saint Saens' Christmas Oratorio. Then sing choral selections from that beautiful work in Sunday worship during Advent and again on Christmas Eve. Questions? See Barbara Anderson after church.

O come, let us sing to the Lord....make a joyful noise (Psalm 95)

Covenant is a singing congregation! We like the old hymns—like “Fairest Lord Jesus” and “Silent Night”—as well as newer songs—like “Song of Hope” and “Change My Heart, O God.” Under the direction of conductor-organist Barbara Anderson, the Covenant Choir enjoys singing anthems from every era of the Christian Church, from early Kyries through Bach and Mozart to contemporary choral pieces. And the children’s choir, the Covenant Choristers, enhance worship with their lovely voices and angelic faces on special occasions and several other times during the year.
Do you like to sing? Whether you have musical training or just a strong desire to make music, you would find a warm welcome at any choir rehearsal. Come join us for the Advent season, with preparations beginning in October, or for Lent in the winter/spring months. Or participate in the annual culmination of the choral year each June as we dedicate an entire worship service to praising God through music.

Adult choir rehearsals are Thursday evenings, 7:30-9 pm, and Sunday mornings, 10-10:40 am. (There is also a special brush-up session—particularly for men’s sections—on Saturdays at 1:30 pm.) And for children age 3 through early teen, the Choristers rehearse each Sunday during the school year, immediately after worship. Come sing a NEW song! (Psalm 96)
